Job Description :
Title : Workstation PC Technician
Duration : 24-month contract
Type : Fully onsite, 5 days / week
Location : Pleasanton, CA
Required Skills and Experience :
- Minimum 2 years' experience with PC support, including deployment and imaging.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Well-versed in installing windows, software, applications. SCCM experience.
- Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining the quality of results.
- Experience developing a multi-week deployment plan.
- Extensive experience in profile management and data transfer.
- Expert user of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Known for working efficiently without supervision and can lead others (may lead refresh team activities).
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel from site to site - won't exceed 10-20 mile radius*
Nice to Have Skills and Experience :
Mac experience is a plus.
Job Description :
The ideal candidate will need PC, desktop, laptop and tablet expertise in order to perform the duties of this position.
Some main responsibilities include but are not limited to : receiving assets, moving equipment within and / or between facilities, staging equipment for build / image activity, interviewing clients as part of pre-deployment asset discovery, executing equipment replacement activity, updating asset management systems to reflect work performed, and monitoring daily activity.
Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining PC hardware / software, troubleshooting network usage and computer peripherals, performing system backups and data recovery, resolving network communication problems independently, disk capacity monitoring and network security, and various administration tasks.
We are looking for someone that is comfortable interacting with clients face to face on a daily basis and has excellent customer service.
The role is a 2 year-long contract to start.
Compensation :
$21 / hr to $23 / hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
