Job Description
Insight Global's client, a highly successful Pilates studio company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate has a background in commercial real estate contracts for retail spaces, as the client is projecting significant growth in 2025 and plans to open over 250 new studio locations within the next three to five years!
As a Contract Attorney, you will work on all legal matters related to our client's retail estate portfolio and contract lifecycle management providing strategic guidance, risk assessment, and legal support to ensure the business’s continued success and growth. Key responsibilities include :
- Provide strategic legal counsel on all contract and leasing matters
- Negotiate conformed and non-conformed retail lease agreements, lease amendments, and ancillary documents and ensure that strategic initiatives and the needs of all internal stakeholders are adequately represented in the real estate lease negotiation process.
- Analyze and advise on lease management issues including landlord demands, defaults, and lease enforcement issues.
- Develop effective relationships with landlord legal counterparts and support the real estate team in managing relationships with large portfolio landlords.
- Develop and maintain templates and standard clauses for contracts to streamline processes.
- Partner with real estate, construction, design, operations, and finance teams to ensure company-wide understanding of relevant legal provisions in commercial leases and other business contracts.
- Identify opportunities to minimize risks and improve processes and efficiencies related to contract reviews and lease negotiations.
