A client of Insight Global is looking for a Field Accounting Manager to lead their accounting team in Owensboro, KY. This role involves overseeing all accounting functions, including AP/AR, month & year- end reporting, and preparing financial reports for upper leadership & cross functional operations. Responsibilities also include reconciling bank and credit card accounts, managing cash, purchasing, billing, and forecasting processes. The Field Accounting Manager will report directly to the Corporate Controller, have two direct reports, and work closely with operations, specifically supporting the Regional Vice President to ensure effective regional management.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Travel to other branches monthly (day-trips only, all within driving distance)
- Prepare financial reports and present findings/recommendations to the Regional VP, CFO, & Corporate Controller
- Conduct monthly trial balance reviews and variance analysis
- Support company M&A integration as needed
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related
- 4-5 years of experience within general accounting - preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger
- Proficient with month and year-end close
Plusses:
- Management/ leadership experience
- Experience conducting employee reviews, and/or played a role in hiring or firing
- Accounting background within food/beverage industry
- Inventory Management Experience

Compensation: $80,000-90,000 15% annual bonus
