What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer position at Insight Global?
In this role, you will collaborate with the Engineering and Electrical teams, closely supporting Maintenance and Production in managing plant controls and automation systems. Technicians will troubleshoot equipment instrumentation, including control systems (DCS / PLC / MLC) and ladder logic. They receive minimal descriptive information about production issues and specialize in calibrating, installing, and maintaining various instruments used for temperature, level, pressure, pH, conductivity, and flow measurement. Additionally, they handle field device installation and maintenance, monitor specific equipment, and may replace control valves. Instrument Technicians actively participate in safety meetings, training, and adhere to established safety and operational procedures

An industrial electrician or technical school graduate with electrical and control system experience
5 years of PLC, HMI & VFD Programming experience
4 years of Rockwell or Schnieder automation products
Proven computer and networking skills
Knowledge and understanding of electrical standards.
Knowledge of power distribution systems in a manufacturing environment
Superior technical skills (mechanical / electrical)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Highly motivated self-starter
