Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer for their client in Southern California. The candidate should have extensive experience in healthcare data exchange and cloud technologies. Key skills include HL7, FHIR, Mirth, 270 / 271 transactions, API development, and proficiency with cloud platforms like Azure. Additionally, expertise in SAML and Single Sign-On (SSO) for secure data access and identity management is essential. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines, integrating various healthcare data formats, and ensuring seamless data exchange between systems. This position requires onsite presence five days a week in Newport Beach, CA.

Electronic medical record experience
At least four years of experience in a Data Engineer role or a similar position.
Demonstrated expertise with HL7, FHIR, and healthcare data standards.
Extensive experience with Mirth Connect or similar data integration tools.
Proficiency in developing APIs using modern frameworks and languages such as Python, Node. js, and Java.
Practical experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database.
Strong understanding of 270 / 271 transactions and healthcare eligibility verification processes.
Experience with 834 file exchanges.
Proven ability to implement SAML and Single Sign-On (SSO) for secure data access and identity management.
