Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer with expertise in PostgreSQL to join our team. As a PostgreSQL Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will play a critical role in developing a proprietary case tracking tool / portal to replace ServiceNow, ensuring it meets our specific requirements for customizability. You will be responsible for making changes to the data model and understanding how data is utilized across both front-end and back-end layers.
Key Responsibilities :
Data Model Management : Make changes to the data model to support the new case management system.
Data Utilization : Understand and optimize how data is utilized from both front-end and back-end perspectives.
Develop Core Case Management System : Support the development of a new UI and APIs for engineers to manage cases efficiently.
Ensure Data Storage : Transition data storage from ServiceNow to our proprietary system, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Database Management : Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases hosted in AWS, leveraging EKS for running services.

Skills and Requirements
Proven experience as a Database Engineer with a focus on PostgreSQL.
Expertise in data modeling and database optimization.
Strong understanding of how data is utilized in front-end (ReactJS) and back-end (NodeJS, Express) layers.
Experience with AWS services, including EKS.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Prior experience working within an Agile development methodology (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean, etc.). Experience in developing case management systems or similar applications.
Familiarity with transitioning from third-party tools to proprietary systems.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and provide custom solutions. null
