Day-to-Day Summary:
Our client is looking for a Data Center Technician to help in two data centers and will need help with anything and everything that goes along with opening a new DC- including, but not limited to: cabling, racking, stacking, setting up computers, installations (troubleshooting not necessary), operating hand trucks, unboxing, decommissioning and packing items up, shelf assemble, building out the storage room…Other responsibilities could include:
- QC Cabling and labelling standards
- Handle complex RMA & swaps parts
- Scope, test, QC, and troubleshoot power, cable connections
- Perform power cycles
- RMA processing & Coordination with Logistics Team
- Perform Troubleshooting and swap out failed components
- Installation of software and firmware updates
- Receive logical and physical hardware into system
- Scope, test, QC and troubleshoot power, cable connections
- Able to perform simple network and server hardware replacement
- Decommission IT equipment (server and network under supervision)
- Swap out failed components
- Cycle Counts
- Net device asset creation assets
- Receive shipments
- Rack movement, cable tray installation, containment, bolt down racks, baying racks
Salary : $21 - $24
