What are the responsibilities and job description for the Datacenter Technician position at Insight Global?
An Insight Global client is seeking a datacenter/configuration technician to join their team fully onsite in Chandler, AZ. This will be a month long contract with possible extension.
Services include the following and they need to have data center technician experience with the below tasks:
- Unpack equipment and visual damage inspection
- Unbox and install HW in the rack including PDUs, rail kits, servers, and network devices, according to Customer supplied rack elevation diagrams.
- Install power cables and power-on devices, according to Customer provided power cable map
- Apply device labels to the appropriate hardware.
- Label device power cables, PDUs, and power WHIPS per customer’s power label schema
- Install all intra-rack network cables per Customer provided network cable map
- Apply cable labels on all intra-rack cables per Customer provided network cable label schema
- Record serial numbers, asset tags, etc. information into a spreadsheet
- Perform QA/QC checklist
- Repackage rack and prepare for shipping
Education Requirments:
- High School Diploma
Salary : $20 - $24
