A medical device client in Medford, OR is looking for a manufacturing engineer to join their team. This representative is responsible for providing manufacturing support for existing products and for developing and introducing new processes to improve efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
Be an advocate for the manufacturing and assembly teams, meaning:
- Ensure proper tools are available for safe and efficient work;
- ensure necessary work instructions are available and up to date so that the build and ability to inspect is straightforward and clear
- engage in continuous improvement of work area / line set up
- help define and enforce standards.
- Design and develop manufacturing procedures, tooling, and fixtures that result in sufficient capacity to meet customer demand, while also promoting product quality, process efficiency, and operator safety
Qualifications
- 3 years of manufacturing engineering or mechanical design experience
- Bachelors in engineering (any discipline) or hands on-experience process improvement
- ERP experience, Excel experience
- Continuous Improvement project experience
