Job Description
A global software development company is seeking an ongoing contractor to join the team remotely as a cloud operations engineer. The main initiatives of this team are to support an AWS migration, create an IAC framework and a Cloud Management Platform, support Customer engagements and serve as a cloud vendor liaison.
The day to day of this contractor will include working in the following technologies :
Tools - Terraform, Ansible (or Chef / Puppet), GitLab CI / CD (or Jenkins / Bamboo / Concourse), bash / Powershell Software Development - Tools (Python or GoLang), Version Control (Git), Editors (VS Code or IntelliJ) Experience - Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP), Containers (Docker / Kubernetes), Observability - DataDog (or Dynatrace, New Relic, or AppDynamics), general networking Experience IT Operations (systems)

Skills and Requirements
5 years in DevOps / Cloud Engineering / Infra as Code
Understand both cloud and on-prem architecture and be able to work with the according tools (how they operate, how to automate them and interact with them)
Terraform / Ansible / Puppet / Chef experience
Strong scripting experience with Python
CI / CD experience (concourse, GitLab, Bitbucket, Github, Jenkins)
Containerization experience - using docker / Kubernetes null
