A top manufacturing client of Insight Global has an opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing Electrical team. The electrical team at this company handles a diverse array of
products, ranging from material handling, industrial automation, to Artificial
Intelligence (AI) based sorting and maintenance.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or in related field. Experience
can be considered in place of bachelor degree.
• 3-8 years of electrical design experience
• Experience of industrial control panel design
• Proficiency with electrical drawing software like E-Plan (preferred),
AutoCAD Electrical etc.
• Familiarity with PLCs like B&R (preferred), Phoenix, Mitsubishi etc.
• Knowledge of bus networks like B&R X2X (preferred), Allen Bradley,
Siemens etc.
• Knowledge of variable frequency drives (B&R, Yaskawa, Telemecanique
etc.)
• Familiarity with UL 508A panel standard
Job Responsibilities:
• Design electrical and control systems for industrial laundries focusing on
material handling equipment
• Understand and interpret customer requirements and translate into
system specifications
• Collaborate with cross functional team of mechanical and software
engineers for concurrent design approach
• Act as a liaison to Purchasing, Production, Sales, Installation and Product
support departments by providing technical support
• Assist in conducting field surveys, troubleshooting and preparing
electrical network layouts
• Travel up to 10% of time
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
