Electrical Engineer - Relay Application

Contract to Hire (12 month contract)

Onsite 5 days/week in the Bronx

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years’ experience in system testing for relay protection.
• Experience with microprocessor-based relays and power systems.
• Familiarity in creating test plans for the commissioning of relay protection systems.
• Industry experience in utilities, power transmission, power distribution, or equipment manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to deliver exemplary customer service, champion change and influence others to improve processes.
• Knowledge of NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) CIP Standards or similar State, Local, or Government regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and VISIO.
• Bachelor’s in Engineering.
• Ability to work 5 days/week onsite in Bronx, New York.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge in IEC 61850 standards.
