About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Power Distribution Specialist to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our power distribution team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical power distribution systems.
This role requires a deep understanding of power distribution, generation, and protection principles, as well as knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA, and IEEE.
You will work closely with operations and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues on power systems, provide technical assistance, and ensure compliance with building infrastructure and codes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of electrical power distribution systems
- Coordination and Time Current Curves evaluations
- Creation of Arc Flash Evaluations and Short-circuit studies
- Verification and ensuring compatibility of new power system deliveries
- Assistance in planning, design, analysis, cost estimating, sparing, and technical guidance
Requirements:
- 8 years of verifiable direct Facility Power Distribution design and field experience
- B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution with an emphasis in Power Engineering
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Fundamental understanding in power distribution, generation, and protection
- Knowledgeable with NEC Standards
