RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, following blueprints and technical diagrams
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to plan layout and installation of electrical systems
- Install and connect electrical panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and other electrical components
- Ensure adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes
- Test electrical systems using tools like multimeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to ensure safe operation
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time
- Troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety, identifying issues and performing necessary repairs
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in critical facilities
- Proven experience with switchgear maintenance
- Expertise in low voltage systems (600 volts)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and adverse weather conditions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multiple projects at once
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Journeyman Electrician certification
