Job Title: Engineering Technician
Summary
The engineering technician will support the outfitting team at a large shipbuilding company that delivers designed and built US NAVY vessels. The successful candidate will utilize ShipConstructor to check outfitting drawings in 2D AutoCad, communicate with modelers to modify drawings to meet NAVSEA compliance requirements, and resolve issues found in drawings within ShipConstructor according to drawing hierarchy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Review: Utilize ShipConstructor to check outfitting drawings in 2D AutoCad for accuracy and completeness.
- Drawing Modification: Communicate with modelers to modify drawings to meet NAVSEA compliance requirements.
- Issue Resolution: Solve issues found in drawings within ShipConstructor according to drawing hierarchy.
- Collaboration: Work directly with team lead to finalize models and designs for vessel delivery.
Requirements:
- Vessel system knowledge
- ShipConstructor or NavisWorks software knowledge
- 3D background in developing outfitting
- Maritime outfitting experience
- Ship Constructor software experience
- 3D Model/design experience in outfitting
- Experience extracting 2D designs in AutoCad
