Title: Events Manager
Location: On-site 3 days a week in downtown Honolulu
Reporting to the Manager, Auxiliary Property Operations, the Events Manager thrives in a high touch customer environment, embracing service excellence as well as the use of technology to facilitate event and conference scheduling needs. Through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, the ideal candidate will exercise the utmost care in balancing community event needs with the University’s academic or other needs. The Events Manager will be the University’s primary event coordinator for external events and a limited resource for internal events. This position will also work in conjunction with the Manager, Auxiliary Property Operations to design a series of events meant to highlight ATM and increase foot traffic.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Two years of event planning experience
- Two years’ experience in a customer service and/or hospitality role
- At least one year of experience leading a client, vendor, or tenant relationship with the authority to make basic daily decisions
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
