JOB DESCRIPTION
A leader in the technology industry is looking for a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join their team. This person will be assisting in the creation of proprietary equipment for a federal project for the US Army, creating low-light vision tools. This person should have 10 years of experience in a relevant role, including specific experience with Lattice FPGAs, and video processing knowledge. The majority of this person's time will be writing Verilog, verifying designs, and collaborating with other team members. This role will start with a 6-month contract, but has the potential to extend up to 18 months as project needs continue.
Detailed responsibilities include :
- Leverage existing Verilog IP Blocks to expand performance and / or reliability
- Create new Verilog IP Blocks to complete functionality
- Work with HyperRAM arbiter architectures
- Code in C on a RISCV on the FPGA to implement algorithms feeding into / helping the main image pipeline.
- Work in a small team to manage integration of new FPGA features and assist with validation of features
- Drive a full design providing a camera that streams MIPI
- I2C, USB, UART, FPGA design experience
- Git, Python Verilog code samples may be requested for evaluation.

60 to $95 / hour - potentially flexibility dependent on background and qualifications
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start immediately after electing and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Salary : $60 - $95
