Required Skills & Experience
• Associate’s degree and no formal experience OR 2 years IT Help Desk experience and no degree
• Knowledge of Microsoft’s Suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive) and programs (Ex: Active Directory)
• Basic understanding of IT support tools (Ex: ServiceDesk Plus, IT glue, NinjaRMM), techniques, and troubleshooting methods
• Ability to travel as needed to perform job duties.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Helpdesk Technician to work on-site in Lansing, MI. This person should be able to travel within a 60-mile radius consistently to represent the IT department to provide solutions for internal hardware and software. This person will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all hardware across 5 different locations in Michigan which includes, but is not limited to: desktops, laptops, phones, tablets, printers, and cameras. This will also complete the installation of Microsoft Office as well as other internal applications to company devices. This position is most involved with hardware troubleshooting and configuration but requires skills involving software troubleshooting and installing applications. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
