This is a long term, stable job opportunity on a program with 5 years of new funding tied to it. This role requires onsite work 2 times per week in Fairfax, VA. The remainder of the week may be worked remotely.
As a part of this team, you would be responsible for designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining a complete ‘Data Services’ solution which includes the collection, normalization, visualization, and sharing of cyber data from more than 100 Federal agencies. This 'Data Services' product is a cloud-hosted solution comprised of multiple Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS), software configuration packages, and custom code which work together to operate as an integrated solution tailored to meet the federal customers requirements.
Below are some quick highlights on the role:
- Onsite 2 times per week in Fairfax, VA and the remainder REMOTE, pretty flexible hours (core hours are 10AM-3 PM)
- New program award-5 years tied to this work
- Looking for a forward thinking, R&D focused AWS Cloud Architect who is an expert in solutioning and design (AWS GovCloud is highly preferred)
- Flexible hourly W2 pay rates, conversion salary typically maxes out at 200K
- Due to contract/background requirements, you must be eligible to be processed for a Public Trust clearance for DHS
- Can start working ASAP-before public trust background is complete
Job Description:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8 years managing, designing, building, and implementing enterprise technology solutions
- 8 years supporting Private, Commercial, and/or Hybrid Cloud deployments
- 5 years AWS cloud experience (GovCloud preferred), deploying compute, storage, and other native service offerings
- 5 years producing architecture and designs that implement scalability, performance, and cost-effective solutions
- 5 years incorporating security best practices for system integration and design, such as NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- 5 years delivering technical solutions for government customers on programs of at least $50M in total contract value
- 4 years translating requirements into high level system designs
- 4 years designing and implementing data management technologies
- 4 years integrating systems, services, and/or components through standard or custom APIs
- 4 years producing technical documentation to communicate system designs and technological analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Government Cyber Mission Space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (FISMA, FIPS, SecOps, etc.)
- Experience with DevSecOps
- Experience with Elastic Cloud Enterprise and other Elastic products
- Experience in assessment, evaluation, and documentation of client environment, infrastructure, process, operations
- Experience in data modeling, visualization, metric dashboards, and other reporting systems
- Understanding of Program and understanding of cybersecurity requirements and mandates
- Understanding of programming languages such as Python or Java, including limitations they may have on system implementations as well as software development best practices for system consideration
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
