About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team as a Senior Electrical Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical and controls sub-systems for our industrial products.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing electrical sub-systems using CAD software and creating schematics, wiring layouts, and BOMs for electrical panels
- Creating test plans to ensure the highest quality and safety for electrical panels and systems
- Documenting systems (part, assy, BOMs) adhering to best practices for revision control
- Maintaining and upgrading systems installed in the field and documenting revision changes
- Creating project plans, designs of experiments (DOE), and revision-controlled documentation
- Collaborating with Quality & Regulatory Teams to ensure products comply with applicable local and global regulatory agencies (FCC, UL, Intertek)
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product development technical roles within US (or global companies) that develop, manufacture, and support industrial electrical and control systems
- Experience with engineering software's (AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical)
- Hands-on experience with reliability & environmental testing and keeping up with industry standards
- Strong knowledge of Electrical Standards & Codes (NEC, UL, FCC)
- Understanding of international, specifically Canadian, electrical codes is a plus
- Experience with robotics
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
