Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled I&C Design Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for completing design-related activities for security and video monitoring systems. This role includes scope development, plant walkdowns, installation, and test activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed scopes for security and video monitoring systems.
- Conduct plant walkdowns to assess and document existing conditions.
- Oversee installation and testing of security and video monitoring systems.
- Travel to vendor facilities for factory tests as required.
- Travel to other Duke sites as necessary.
- Support EOC-related design activities.
- Interface with site security systems.
- Participate in the CRITICAL group and undergo required evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in I&C design, particularly in security and video monitoring systems.
- Strong understanding of plant operations and security protocols.
- Ability to travel to vendor facilities and other Duke sites.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Must be able to pass required evaluations for the CRITICAL group.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EOC-related design activities.
- Familiarity with Duke Energy systems and protocols.
Salary : $60 - $65
