Must Haves :

  • Experience managing a team of 10
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with hospital insurance follow up with commercial payers
  • Specializes with follow up or collections (not looking for patient access experience)
  • Experience analyzing and dissecting data in PowerBI and articulating the issues to insurance rep
  • Experience escalating claims to payers
  • Strong Excel experience (VLOOKUP and pivot tables)
  • Must be a confident leader that is also a self-starter

This person should run the department as if it is their own business

  • Experience with Med Metrix
  • Experience with STAR (patient accounting system)
  • PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors all insurance collection practices to assure levels of aging and accounts receivables are maintained. Also monitors the denials management follow-up and appeal process for timely resolution of aged accounts.
  • Provides necessary training, information, and tools for Supervisors to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently and maintain a competent staff.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Accounts Receivable Workstation system. The manager should be the point person for the ARWS, detailed research and strategy review will determine the most precise and effective use for the system. It will be the responsibility of the manager to maximize recovery with the use of this technology.
  • To oversee all aspects of the insurance collection and denial management processes. The manager will review and maintain processes’ assuring the most effective collection approach is always taken.
  • To inform and educate direct reporting supervisors, assuring their success.
  • Maintain current knowledge of governmental compliance mandates that effects his / her direct reporting departments.
  • Assure that all collection procedures meet all governmental compliance mandates.
  • Assist in the hiring process of the staff.
  • Ongoing review of all department processes for efficient and effective results.
