Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Internal Audit is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the company’s internal audit functions, including SOX compliance, financial controls, operational audits, and ad hoc risk-based projects. This role collaborates with senior leadership, external auditors, and business units to provide insights that enhance risk management, governance, and operational efficiencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Internal Audit Leadership & Execution
• Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans that align with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead financial, operational, and compliance audits, ensuring proper internal controls are in place.
• Monitor and assess internal control environments, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Provide oversight and guidance on ad hoc audit projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
SOX Compliance & Financial Controls
• Oversee the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program, including documentation, testing, and remediation of deficiencies.
• Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to SEC and PCAOB requirements.
• Assess key business processes, IT controls, and financial reporting procedures to enhance compliance.
Process Improvement & Risk Management
• Identify and recommend improvements to business processes, risk management strategies, and governance frameworks.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and optimize internal audit methodologies.
• Support the development and implementation of enterprise risk management (ERM) initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior leadership, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors.
• Prepare and present audit reports, risk assessments, and compliance updates to executive leadership.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business units, providing guidance on internal controls, financial compliance, and best practices.
