Position Title: Internal Audit QA Specialist

Location: Hybrid, 3-Days a Week in Birmingham, AL; Memphis, TN; New Orleans, LA; or Charlotte, NC

Duration: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Compensation: $100,000 - $105,000/Year

Job Description:

A client of Insight Global is seeking an Internal Audit QA Specialist to support the expansion and completion of quality assurance reviews for internal audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance Reviews: Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of internal audit workpapers and project files to ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines.
• Risk Assessments: Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and ensure that audit processes are robust and effective.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on the findings of quality assurance reviews and risk assessments, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal audit teams and other stakeholders to ensure that quality assurance processes are integrated seamlessly into the overall audit function.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal audit processes by identifying best practices and implementing enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Internal Audit QA Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Internal Audit Quality Assurance, which can be outside of the banking audit sector.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in relevant roles.
• Certification Commitment: Willingness to obtain the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• CIA Certification: Possession of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is highly preferred.
• Extensive QA Experience: 8 years of experience in Internal Audit Quality Assurance is preferred, demonstrating a deep understanding of QA processes and standards.
