What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Accountant position at Insight Global?
MUST HAVES:
- 2-3 years Inventory accounting background required
- Familiarity with Peoplesoft/SAP
- Experience with complex journal entries
- Advanced/intermediate analytical skills
- Strong excel skills
Plusses:
- Ideal industries: Cruise, Transportation, Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA and/or Master’s a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced level in Excel and Word. Proficiency in database applications would be preferred
Day to day:
- Preparing monthly journal entries
- Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger
- Monitoring inventory transactions
- Assist with the monthly closing process
- Resolve any accounting discrepancies
- Partner with various departments to ensure full compliance with company policy and procedure in regard to inventory.
- Assists in quarterly and year-end audits
- Special projects as required
- Communicates effectively with senior financial management
- Performs job with integrity and transparency
- Utilize good judgment in the execution of job
Pay Rate:
$34 - $38/hr based off qualifications, years of experience, and education
