The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer will be responsible for the efficient operation of data center engineering within our facilities. This role encompasses risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting. Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing performance benchmarks, conducting analyses, and preparing reports on all aspects of data center operations.
- Collaborating with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Operating and managing routine and emergency services on various critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Assisting in the design and build-out of new facilities and projects to increase current facility efficiency.
- Managing asset and inventory control.
- Ensuring quality service delivery and meeting customer demands.
