JR Architect
Biloxi, MS - onsite 5days per week
6 month contract to hire
70k - $75k upon conversion
An employer in Biloxi, MS is looking for a Jr. Architect to join their team in support of a federal contract they have over the next 7 years. In this role you will be responsible for :
- Performs the design and development of the construction drawings and develops specifications for architectural and / or structural engineering systems such as construction and rehabilitation of existing structures.
- Evaluates projects to determine the most appropriate and economical systems to serve a facility.
- Prepares original design and preliminary and final layout of civil / structural projects, including size, capacity, and economy.
- Participates in final on-site inspection.
- Performs contract related services such as writing scope of work, site surveys, contractor selection, negotiations, construction performance monitoring, product design, design review of internal and external A / E designs, and evaluation, inspection, and acceptance of bids.
- Prepares detailed independent government estimates
