Job Description:
A client of Insight Global is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join their High-Density Genotyping Department. This role involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where flexibility and multitasking are essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up PCR reactions, adding libraries into pools, and genotyping samples to support the breeding team in making plant advancements. Additionally, they will receive plates of samples from the extraction team, perform gene editing on the samples, and pool libraries together for further processing by the breeding team.
This position is a second shift role, with working hours from 2 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday. The selected candidate will undergo training during the day shift and transition to the night shift once they are ready. The ideal candidate is adaptable, has strong organizational skills, and can thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a Life Sciences Major
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
