A Utility Protection & Control (P&C) Technician is being sought by a client of Insight Global's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division. This role can be based anywhere in the United States and requires up to 100% travel.
Key Responsibilities
The Utility P&C Technician will assist the Utility Lead P&C / Commissioning Engineer in technical oversight and documentation requirements, including work plans, isolation plans, and functional test plans. This role will be actively involved during complete testing & final checkout.
Technical Expertise
This position requires a minimum of 7 years of utility substation relay testing experience or a combination of at least 4 years of on-the-job experience and technical education/military experience. Hands-on testing experience with Doble 6150, Omicron, or RTS Software (Doble) is also required. Troubleshooting, testing, and preventative maintenance experience on substations are essential skills for this role.
Prioritized Skills
- Minimum of 7 years of utility substation relay testing experience or combination of minimum 4 years on-the-job experience and technical education/military experience
- Experience doing hands on testing with either Doble 6150, Omicron, or RTS Software (Doble)
