Job Description
One of Insight Global's top upstream O&G clients is looking to hire an AI / ML Engineer to join a team within the Information Systems Department. The Information Systems department is structured to support every area of the oil production process through custom-built internal technical solutions (Real-Time Operations, Environmental and Economic Planning, Optimization, etc.). The team that this person would be joining is a new team dedicated to building an internal enterprise-level AI software to allow for easier data / reporting access across all departments. Currently, the platform architecture is about 60% complete, and production is in the initial stages. The AI / ML Engineer will be working hands-on throughout the entire product lifecycle, including gathering scope of requirements from various groups, contributing to platform architecture, developing AI / ML models, and adding / enhancing features during production. This person must be comfortable working onsite in downtown Houston 5 days / week.
Based on knowledge and years of experience, this position offers an hourly pay rate range of $70-80 / hr.

Skills and Requirements
Strong experience in AI / ML Engineering
Proficiency in LLM architectures
Familiarity with LLM Ops, model monitoring, and bias mitigation in AI models
Strong experience in data manipulation, integration, writing complex queries, and creating data products
Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI model deployment
Docker and Kubernetes containerization experience - Knowledgeable in Fine-tuning techniques
Experience with Deep Learning
Oil and gas industry experience null
