Job Summary:
An Industrial Installation Technician is needed to support the Machine Guarding and Industrial Wastewater Services sector of business for a client in Plainville, Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and conduct field installations and design activities for machine/safety guarding such as plexiglass shields, pressure plates, and covers for dangerous machinery.
- Fabricate and mount safety guards on industrial manufacturing machines.
- Understand existing machine operations and integrate new safety controls into complex systems and components.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- 7 years of experience and a High School diploma or Technical School equivalent.
- Fundamental skills with using powered tools for cutting, drilling, tapping, and making straight cuts.
- Ability to work from drawings, read technical prints, and use basic mathematics.
- High level of professionalism, adherence to safety protocols, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform installation and maintenance tasks.
