One of Insight Global's financial clients is looking for a manual QA to join their team. This individual will be joining the current team that is growing. They will be responsible for building test plans, understanding and completing requirements based on current project. These projects encompass new and updated internal software from multiple development teams, report writing, and member communication. They will also be Analyzing new software and changing existing applications, leveraging knowledge of business rules, user needs, and system architecture to assist business owners and developers in project design and planning. Additionally, they will be documenting requirements, test plans, test results, defects, and corrections for audit purposes. While Providing expertise, training, and assistance to the QA team and other testing personnel. The ideal candidate is someone who has initiative, enjoys working independently or with others and is solution oriented.
Required Skills & Experience
• 3-5 Years experience working as a manual tester • 3 years of combined experience related to IT or Business Process Improvement • Working knowledge of database tools and concepts (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) • High school graduate
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (CTFL) • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, ALM, or other test management toolsets • Bachelor’s degree in IS-related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Testing Activities: Plan, schedule, and execute testing activities, including developing and documenting manual test scripts, and updating test plans.
• Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to design test cases and ensure QA tasks align with policies.
• Testing Standards: Follow and suggest improvements to QA standards, perform various types of testing, and maintain audit documentation.
• Resource Coordination: Coordinate resources for testing and provide expertise and training during project phases.
• Support and Training: Assist branches and departments with procedures, keep management informed, and train QA manual testers.
• Policy Development: Suggest QA policies and procedures and provide training for the QA team.
• Statement Preparation: Assist in preparing monthly statements, validate accuracy, perform calculations, and compare system details to statements.
• Documentation: Update and use templates for test planning, improve validation scenarios, and create test steps for QA personnel.
Compensation:
$55,000 - 65,000/yr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
