What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Technician position at Insight Global?
Position Summary : The Manufacturing Technician will assist in the physical assembly of electrical control cabinets that will be deployed in power generation facilities across North America. Daily responsibilities include :
- Read electrical schematic and sub-panel layout drawings along with other production / manufacturing instructions to assemble electrical panels.
- Work with production lead or senior technician to resolve semi-complex manufacturing issues and participates in troubleshooting activities on panel assemblies
- Upholds all applicable codes, standards, and manufacturing workmanship guidelines on panel assemblies.
- Participates and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
- Helps develop estimates of requirements arising from process changes
- Must be able to interface and communicate effectively with the manufacturing team and hardware engineering to ensure completion of tasks and projects.
- Ensures manufacturing Safety supporting Zero Harm Culture (ZHC).
