Title: Manufacturing Test Engineer
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Pay: $45/hr (depending on experience)
A large manufacturing company in Fort Collins is looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join their team for a 6 month contract to hire. You will be working on a team of 13 alongside other Test Engineers and Software Developers. This is a net new role, the company is growing and expects to be busy moving forward. The main part of the role will be developing test solutions for high volume manufacturing including high power, large system and advanced power supplies.
Some day to day activities include but are not limited to:
- Owning and transitioning test solutions within high volume manufacturing.
- Understanding yields and physical analysis
- Work with R&D teams reviewing schematics and conducting design reviews.
- Ensure testability and serviceability of new product designs, providing feedback to design teams addressing opportunities for defects in manufacturing and field use.
- Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, completes specifications and procedures for new products and for product design changes throughout the product's lifecycle.
- Accurately estimate project costs and schedules associated with implementing test solutions.
- Owns test requirements from the vendor, to shipment, to the customer.
- Verify products meet their functional requirements - including design verification and manufacturing screens.
- Analyze capabilities and ensure control of critical parameters of products and test equipment.
Must Haves
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (preferably Electrical or Physics)
- 3-5 years experience as a Test Engineer developing solutions for high volume manufacturing
- Automation experience (Labview, TestStand, C , SQL, Python etc.) / familiar with automated test development packages
- Experience with a variety of General-Purpose Test Equipment use and automation. Including: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, DAQs, and Switches
- High volume manufacturing experience understanding yields, physical analysis, etc.
