What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Insight Global?
A large automotive supplier is looking for a Material Handler for their Prototype Shop in Plymouth, MI. This individual will be responsible for material coming in and out of the warehouse. Responsibilities include verifying all documentation has been received with material, maintaining a consistent flow of prototype material, enforce the prototype value stream procedure for processing material and utilizing the prototype scrap procedure for suspect material. They will also be responsible for creating build kits from materials received, checking inventory and verifying material condition and part numbers, using 8S. For outgoing material, they will need to performing outgoing checks (part to print verification, part number check, quantity, etc.), package material and paperwork for shipping, and completing build package review and handing it off to the appropriate teams. This individual will need to be a self-starter and mainly work independently.
Compensation:
$21hr to $22hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
