Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support a large steel manufacturing client out of Lexington, NC. This candidate will be joining either the Melt Shop or the Rolling Mill teams but must be comfortable joining either team. The Lexington plant is being stood up and is expected to open in Q2 of 2025. Prior to the plant opening, the Mechanical Maintenance Technician team will be working on-site to learn and understand all of the maintenance for the state-of-the-art equipment being installed. Once the plant opens, the day-to-day will include troubleshooting and repairs, cooperating with and supporting operations, aggressively pursuing process improvement, assisting with documentation and training for all equipment, and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience with Mechanical Maintenance with a strong background in: - STIK Welding - Gearing - Bearings - Couplings - Hydraulics - Pneumatics - Preventative maintenance
- Understanding of hydraulic theory, fluid dynamics/ fluid theory, electrical theory, and mechanical theory
- Associate's degree, Trade School, or Military Technical Training

Compensation:
$85,000 to $105,000 per year annual salary.
