Job Description:
We are searching for a Mechanical Project Manager to join our industrial fabrication client’s pre-construction team in the Tuscaloosa area. This individual will be responsible for managing mechanical piping and industrial/commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate can expect to manage 2 projects per year, each valued between $5-10 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mechanical piping and industrial/commercial construction projects.
- Oversee both retrofits and new construction projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in the field as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent, or similar role.
- Experience within mechanical piping and industrial/commercial construction.
- Experience in industries such as chemical, steel, paper, pharmaceutical, power, etc.
- Proven experience managing projects above $5 million.
- Experience with both retrofits and new construction.
***Willingness to work 45-50 hours per week and travel up to 10% per year.
Salary : $36 - $43
