What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Technician position at Insight Global?
Shift: Hours will vary depending on the needed coverage. Sometime between 11am-7am!

- 9p-730a
- 8 on 6 off, weds-weds, every other weekend off
Location: Lafayette - Arnett
Target Pay Rate: $30-35/hr (could potentially go higher) - dependent on years of experience, qualifications, and education
Day to day:
Assists with laboratory testing on patient specimens. Under direction, may provide information for the diagnosis and treatment. Helps to maintain records of performance and utilizes independent judgment to generate acceptable test results. Performs all tasks according to standard operating procedures. Assists with development and modification of procedures and assumes additional responsibilities as outlined by management or the laboratory director.
Qualifications:
• Requires one (1) year of relevant experience as an MLT OR MLS
• Requires knowledge of various complex and lengthy laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Requires knowledge of specialized testing equipment and routine maintenance procedures.
• Requires ability to maintain quality control and other records.
• Requires ability to use computer to enter and retrieve test results.
• Requires analytical skills to make quantitative and qualitative observations.
• Requires ability to work independently; handle constant interruptions and concurrent tasks.
• Requires knowledge of all laboratory safety regulations and protocols.
Salary : $30 - $35
