What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Security Specialist position at Insight Global?
Insight Global is seeking Network Security Specialist with a focus in HBSS support to join a team supporting a large customer. This person will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining host based security systems. This person will be responsible for conducting security assessments, evaluating threats, and collaborating with other team members to participate in incident response activities.
Specific Duties :
- Analyzes, administers and maintains voice, video, and / or data communications networks.
- Manages the usage and performance of voice, video and / or data communications networks.
- Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Deploy and maintain HBSS and conduct security assessments on the network
- Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.
- Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades.
- Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
