A client of Insight Global is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join their expanding team in the Delta, CO area.
Location: Delta, CO 81416 – If not local, relocation assistance available
Terms: Direct-Hire/Permanent
Schedule: Mon-Fri | 8:30am to 4:30pm w/ 1 hour Lunch
Pay Range: $125,000 to $140,000, flexible depending on years of experience
Must Haves:
- Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited program or Physician Assistant Program
- Must be licensed in the state of Colorado to practice as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
- Must be licensed to have Prescriptive Authority
- Three (3) years healthcare experience desired.
- Current BLS
- Knowledge and experience utilizing an EMR system along with descriptive dictation for coding & billing purposes.
- Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of patient, patient account, and personnel data
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with physicians, patients, patient families, staff, and management
Additional Key Responsibilities Include:
- Works in conjunction with the medical staff and nursing to facilitate patient management through the healthcare system
- Exercises independent judgment in assessing, diagnosing, and initiating delegated medical processes or procedures.
- Works with children, adolescents and teens ages 0-21 in school-based health center
- Performs and documents comprehensive health histories and physical assessments on assigned patients
- Formulates diagnoses and identifies problems and health risk profiles of selected patients and documents and communicates this information to other members of the health care team
- Performs orders and interprets diagnostic studies, such as x-rays and laboratory tests, in consultation with staff as needed.
- Orders medication, treatments and therapies
- Requests consultation and initiates referrals to other healthcare providers
- Provides information and support to patients and families regarding disease process and treatment plan, facilitating communication between patients/families and healthcare team
- Educates the patient and families regarding planned diagnostic procedures, medications, treatment and post-hospital care
- Evaluates and consults with selected patients and families in an outpatient setting at time of follow-up appointments regarding post hospitalized course of care
- Facilitates communication between medical and nursing teams
- HIPAA compliance
- Works with staff collaboratively on grant funding and school-based health care model including medical, dental, and behavioral health needs
