Title: Outside Sales Rep
Location: Council Bluffs, IA / Omaha, NE
Interview Process: 2-3 rounds - Teams
Insight Global's client is looking for an Outside Sales Rep to develop, maintain, and grow assigned territory by providing sales engineering support to a defined set of construction and industrial customers while traveling to territory.
Must Haves:
5 years experience selling in construction/industrial fields
Experience working on the field with contractors
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficient in MS Office Products
- Strong, persistent, outgoing personality
- Valid Driver's License
Plusses:
Basic engineer knowledge - Ability to read technical drawings
Day to Day:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across various departments.
- Travel within the territory to engage with current and prospective customers.
- Communicate via emails, texts, calls, and virtual meetings to promote products, win new business, and resolve issues.
- Conduct regular strategic account reviews to align services/products with business goals.
- Generate and contact sales leads to meet business targets.
- Promote product offerings using samples, catalogs, and presentations.
- Provide technical support and product information for customer applications.
- Communicate product features and benefits effectively.
- Offer design input to improve functionality, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to test and validate product designs.
- Coordinate with internal departments to quote, win, and retain business, and address quality concerns.
- Utilize CRM and other systems efficiently.
- Prepare and submit call and expense reports promptly.
- Ensure account activities and literature are current.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
