Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 / annually
Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking a Packaging Engineer to sit onsite 5 days a week in Chester, CT. This person will join an American corporation company that designs and manufactures audio and visual warning equipment for automotive, aviation, and mass notification industries worldwide. This person will be considered the subject matter expert and oversee packaging projects and troubleshooting packing and shipping issues. On a day to day this person will read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports. They will test, analyze and select materials for packaging based on durability and cost effectiveness. Lastly, this person will work with other engineers to implement operating procedures, resolving system malfunctions and provide technical information.
Must haves:
Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Technology, or Packaging Science
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with 3D modeling software like SolidWorks, Creo, etc.
Plusses:
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Machine shop experience and strong mechanical aptitude
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
