HYBRID OPPORTUNITY
A company in the Knoxville, TN area is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to their team. This Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll biweekly and occasional monthly payrolls as well. They are looking for someone who is eager to join and participate in a collaborative environment with the others on the team. This will be a hybrid position in Knoxville, TN.
Required Qualifications:
• 5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, etc.)
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes, garnishments, and deductions
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of departments and employees
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Plusses:
• Experience with Lawson, Workday, or similar payroll systems is a plus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepares, processes, and generates company payroll and reviews for accuracy
• Interpreting contract language and validating complex calculations
• Compiling backup for audit and SOX compliance
• Participates as an active team member by supporting other compensation specialists in reviewing payroll and processing monthly and biweekly payrolls
• Completes special projects and other assignments as assigned by the Payroll Leadership
Salary : $20 - $22
