Job Summary:
The Air Force division is seeking qualified Penetration Testers to support the 48th Cyberspace Test Squadron at Eglin AFB, FL. Engage in Cybersecurity Developmental and Operational Testing for DoD programs in a dynamic environment that combines telework and in-office engagement, with opportunities for continuous learning.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-10 years relevant work experience.
- Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
- DoD IAT Level 3 certification (CSSP/CASP ) within six months.
- Experience in Aircraft, Weapon, Cloud, and/or IP system architectures.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Knowledge of testing methodologies (vulnerability scanning, penetration testing).
- Project management skills for handling multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Willingness to travel up to 15-20 weeks per year.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity A&A process within RMF.
- Familiarity with DOD acquisition and testing processes.
- Experience in aircraft and weapon system evaluation.
- Understanding of network security/engineering.
- Active Certifications: CISSP or CASP .
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across the Air Force.
- Develop cybersecurity test strategies for DoD systems.
- Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals.
- Monitor and assist team in meeting test requirements.
- Conduct system security analysis to identify vulnerabilities.
- Oversee cyber test events: planning, execution, analysis, reporting.
- Implement testing policies in alignment with Air Force cybersecurity standards.
- Attend customer meetings and communicate test results effectively.
- Stay informed on cybersecurity threats and adjust testing plans accordingly.
