Insight Global is looking for a Hematology Oncology Pharmacist to support a large healthcare client in their cancer institute in Charlotte, NC.
About the Role - Full time, permanent position with full benefits, competitive pay, and a flexible schedule. Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm with once-a-month weekend rotation that is remote. Relocation assistance offered.
Responsibilities :
- A typical day for a hematology / oncology pharmacist starts with reviewing patient charts and lab results to adjust medications and prepare chemotherapy orders.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, providing input on medication management.
- Consult with patients, educate them on treatments, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Assist with clinical trials.
- Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct training sessions and stay updated on new treatments.
- Document patient interactions, report any adverse reactions, and participate in team meetings to update guidelines and improve patient care.
Qualifications - 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Doctorate of Pharmacy, Current pharmacy license, Hematology / oncology experience (stem cell transplant, cellular therapy).
Required Skills - Inpatient experience.
