What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement and Fleet Manager position at Insight Global?
Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal fleet equipment levels by analyzing rental and sales backlogs. This involves collaborating with senior leadership and the commercial team to meet demand. You will also review branch equipment levels and transfer equipment between branches as needed.
Additionally, you will source equipment from global companies, establish relationships with external equipment suppliers, and negotiate competitive bids. You will also work with international shipping companies and freight forwarders to reduce global shipping costs.
Key responsibilities include reviewing fleet equipment rentals, re-renting to customers, and recommending equipment purchases to reduce rentals when appropriate. You will also establish and maintain reorder minimums and maximums for consumables, manage fixed asset lists for book-to-tax reconciliations, and assume ownership of national forklift supplier lease and yard truck programs.
Furthermore, you will provide monthly and ad-hoc reporting on capital expenditures and equipment levels to senior leadership and branch managers. You will also work with HSEQW and Engineering to update and publish HIMS Sheets, facilitate semi-annual equipment counts, and perform other duties as assigned.
