What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Coordinator position at Insight Global?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Temporary PPAP Coordinator to develop and submit the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing quality processes and experience in preparing PPAP documentation for automotive or industrial manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Generate, compile, and submit PPAP documentation in accordance with AIAG and customer-specific requirements.
· Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams to gather necessary data for submission.
· Review and verify compliance of design records, process flow diagrams, control plans, FMEAs, dimensional results, material certifications, and other PPAP elements.
· Work closely with suppliers to obtain required documentation and ensure timely submission.
· Utilize measurement and testing equipment to support dimensional reports, capability studies, and validation processes.
· Identify and resolve any discrepancies in PPAP submissions, ensuring corrective actions are implemented as needed.
· Maintain and update PPAP records in an organized manner for easy retrieval and audits.
· Support internal and external audits related to PPAP and quality compliance.
· Provide technical support to cross-functional teams regarding PPAP and quality-related concerns.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Proven experience with PPAP documentation in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or industrial.
· Strong understanding of AIAG PPAP requirements and quality management systems.
· Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and understanding technical specifications.
· Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, and control plans.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with various departments and suppliers.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
Compensation:
$20/hr to $50/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
