Insight Global is seeking a Production Support Engineer to join one of our largest financial clients in New York City supporting the Global Markets LOB. We are seeking a motivated candidate for a Markets Application Production Services (MAPS) role within the Global FICC Credit support organization. In this role the candidate will primarily support Credit Trading platforms covering cash / derivatives products, electronic trading, trade life cycle, risk and PnL management. Candidates must have the willingness to deliver production support services, drive process automation, monitoring and tooling within SRE framework.
On a day-to-day basis they will perform the following :
- Responsible for the monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments, performing application health checks to assure system availability and stability, user querying and production incident handling, triage, and hands-on troubleshooting of Python and Java based applications.
- Resolve any performance issues per criticality, capacity management and production release process management.
- Exercise strong Incident and Problem Management skills for timely resolution and communication as well as to drive continuous improvements.
- Primary contact for front office and middle office personnel to resolve issues with trader applications and any business-related queries in timely manner to avoid business impact.
- This individual will work in close collaboration with the Application Developers, peer Support teams, Global / offshore teams, and Infrastructure Support.
- Drive ongoing knowledge management and related documentation.

- Defining and driving Monitoring improvements and technical processes are considered part of the function for this role, to ensure consistency across the applications and business lines supported.
