What are the responsibilities and job description for the Programming Analyst position at Insight Global?
A client of Insight Global is actively seeking a Programmer Analyst to join their collaborative team on a hybrid basis in Jefferson, GA. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing the AS400 system. Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements, performing backup and restore operations, administering security and other hardware-related tasks, and programming in RPG to support AS400. Additionally, they will also play a vital role during the transition period by assisting with migrations to new systems.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assisting helpdesk with high-level Nesi tickets
- Supporting applications through programming upgrades and troubleshooting
- Perform quarterly backups and hardware upgrades
- Play a key role in auditing, security, and creating user profiles in AS400 & Nesi to ensure correct inventory and operating system privileges
