Insight Global is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to support a large hospital center in Washington, DC.
About the Role
- The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will operate diagnostic equipment to produce high-quality images of internal organs for use by professional personnel.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to explain the process to patients and interview for medical history.
- Responsibilities include preparing patients for scan, reviewing patient records, and positioning patients on the scan table.
- The CT Technologist will also administer contrast media according to protocols and consult with Radiologists prior to administering I.V. contrast for bolus I.V. injections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter patient and exam data into x-ray computer system and perform computed scan images.
- Prepare reports and maintain records of service rendered using the radiology department computer system to verify billing and quality assurance.
- Clean and maintain an aseptic working environment for each patient.
- Assist Radiologists with interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or one to three years formal training in Radiologic Technology.
- Completed competency-based training in CT.
- 1-2 years job-related experience.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
